On completion, learners will have an increased understanding of anaphylaxis and its potential causes and symptoms. They will also know the appropriate treatments and actions to take.  

The Assessment and Management of Urinary Incontinence and Bladder Dysfunction in Adults

This course increases awareness of the main issues around bladder incontinence and provides information needed to undertake holistic assessment and initiate treatment.

The Management of Urinary Catheterisation for Adults

Learners will understand the many risks of urinary catheterisation. They will be able to apply what they learn into practice, reducing the risk of healthcare acquired infections.

Medication Awareness

Provides learners with an increased understanding of the importance of accurate recording and reporting when administering medication.

Infection Prevention and Control

On completion, learners will have gained an overview of the key elections of infection control and be able to put them into practice to prevent the spreading of infection.

Tissue Viability

Learners will acquire the knowledge to assess the risk from pressure ulcers and gain knowledge on how to prevent damage occurring.

Aseptic Techniques

After completing this course learners will understand what an aseptic technique is, in what circumstances the technique should be used and the reasons why.
